2008-W Type 1 Uncirculated Reverse of 2007 KEY COIN.

This is the 2nd Rarest of ALL SILVER EAGLES! The rarest is priced at over $3,000! This coin does come in its original box and papers as issued by the U.S. Mint.

The U.S. Mint Estimates only 47,000 were produced making this the King of all Uncirculated American Silver Eagle Dollars. Notice the "U" in United. It appears in a normal correct capital style. The Type II, which is the new style, shows a grammatical in correct small style "u" for the 1st letter in United. All 2008 Silver Eagles were to have this new small style "u", but a few slipped out with the previous style "U", therefore, making this a very rare coin. Per a Coin World piece: "There are approximately 47,000 coins bearing the 2007 reverse type. The number was provided by US Mint spokesman Michael White. The estimate is based on the fact that employees at the West Point Mint located 15 dies with the reverse type of 2007."
